We are excited to announce that Izard County High School has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school that is Beating the Odds, because our students have demonstrated high growth on the ATLAS English Language Arts exams even though the school serves a high percentage of students who participate in Free and Reduced Lunch!
The OEP recognizes schools with high student academic growth through its Outstanding Educational Performance Awards. The Office of Educational Policy says growth is the best indicator of the positive impact that a school is having on students.
Congratulations to our students and staff for this honor! Every student. Every day. Whatever it takes.

🐾 ❤️ Valentine’s Day was full of fun and celebration at the Izard County After School Program! We danced the afternoon away at our Attendance Glow Dance, enjoyed a delicious pizza party, and made unforgettable memories. What a fantastic day of learning and laughter! Also, make sure to take a look as our kindergarteners put their engineering skills to the test by building American symbols, bringing history and creativity together. ❤️ 🐾
