Wishing good luck to Senior High BETA members who are competing at the state convention this week in Hot Springs!

Save the date for this year's talent show!

❗️Location change! The match will now take place at Frontier Lanes in Ash Flat.
Our Bowling Cougars will be back on the lanes today for a match against Calico Rock and Mountain Home.
Good luck today, Cougars!

Around Christmas time, students from CHASE donated cat and dog food items to support the local animal shelter, iCare. We're super proud of these students for choosing to give back to help a local organization in a time of need. We know they made a positive impact! A big shoutout goes to 8th grade student, Brody Cottrell, for his extra donation of homemade dog treats.
Thank you so much, CHASE!

Izard County STEM Coordinator Courtney Selph has recently been named by the White House as a recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. Courtney was among three cohorts of teachers named state finalists over the course of 2021, 2022 and 2023 for the presidential awards announced Monday. She was the Arkansas Science Teacher of the Year selection for 2022.
Established in 1983, the presidential awards are considered among the nation’s highest honors for teachers of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Award-winning teachers receive $10,000 from the National Science Foundation; a certificate signed by the president; a trip to Washington, D.C. to celebrate their accomplishments; and an invitation to participate in a prestigious group of more than 5,200 teacher-alumni from across the nation.
A panel of mathematicians, scientists and educators at the state and national levels evaluate nominations before recommending awardees to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Teachers are selected based on their distinction in the classroom and dedication to improving education in math, science, technology and engineering.
Congratulations, Mrs. Courtney! We are proud of you!
