ICC After School Program had a fun-filled day! Kindergarten students recited Five Little Pumpkins and found the rhyme in a book. 📖 They then got creative, using anything in the room to build a gate to keep their pumpkins in place—most chose Magna Tiles and tested different designs to keep those pumpkins from rolling away! 🎃 Meanwhile, our 4th and 5th graders took math outdoors with an exciting game of Sharks and Minnows to practice their multiplication skills! 🦈

Don't forget about tomorrow's Fall Festival at Izard County Stem Elementary... it's going to be a great time!

Mark your calendars!
This Friday night we've got a full schedule of events for Cougar Nation to enjoy! It's the last football game of the year, so it's time for a Cougar Tailgate! We invite Cougar fans and community members to join us!
We'll begin after school, and the tailgate will continue until 5:30 when we'll start moving to the stadium for the Senior Night Ceremony that will begin at 6:00.
More tailgate details to come... we look forward to seeing you there!

Don't forget...

Sixth graders did some extension work in the stem lab today during Friday's WIN session. Students worked on assembling paper model cars as a practice for the concept cars project they are completing during Genius Hour. The construction of models requires a lot of minute details and attention to precision. These types of skills are very common in the workplace. At Izard County Consolidated Middle School, as a part of the Arkansas STEM Model Program, we are striving to instill these types of skills and hands-on abilities at a young age.

The high school gym is being renovated with a new lighting system, so there will be no intramural basketball games this Monday! Revised schedule shown below.

Change Makers! Elementary STEM Lab students made masks of support to be champions for what they are passionate about.
