🇺🇸 This morning in Mrs. Kali’s class we stopped to take a moment to discuss the significance of 9/11. I shared my own accounts of that day and was honored to have our foster grandparent, Mrs. Karen, speak about her experience that day as well. We took a moment of silence to remember the fallen and the sacrifices that are made for us each day.
📝 Students have also been working hard on an opinion essay over our Arkansas Unit. They were challenged to write a three paragraph essay and so far have completed the introduction and body paragraphs. We will be working on the conclusion tomorrow. I have been so impressed with their writing and the details they have wanted to share!
📚Finally, we finished our day with a new book that was graciously donated to each student by one of our parents! I’m so appreciative of the all the parents support we recieve at our school and how much they give to our kids so each of them can be supported and successful. Thank you so much!

Students in Mr.Treat's Accelerated Biology class have been examining molecules that form the foundation for living things. Today, they gathered data by testing several samples to determine if lipids, proteins, sugars, or starches were present.

Coach Ninemire's U.S. History classes have been learning about the Dust Bowl and what life was like for people living throughout that time period. After classroom instruction, students utilized the STEM lab to create dioramas that accurately portrayed what a scene from the Dust Bowl era would have looked like. They did a great job collaborating with one another and using available resources to make some really creative pieces!

The Junior and Senior High Varsity teams finished with big conference wins over Midland tonight! Great work, Lady Cougars!

🧮 Today in Mrs. Kali’s 2nd grade class, students practiced solving word problems. Students were asked to solve problems with partners, then on their own, and finally got to present their methods to the entire class. Mrs. Kali loved watching how engaged they were and how they compared their methods to their peers!
